Our Programs

Meal Debt Reduction Support

Neighbors for Schools, Inc. partners with Metro Atlanta Schools to reduce unpaid meal debt and lessen the financial strain on nutrition programs. Our support helps districts maintain dignity-centered meal practices while managing the real costs of serving students. By easing this burden, schools can focus on providing every child with a real meal without stigma.

Free & Reduced Meal Application Support

We help schools increase Free and Reduced Meal application submissions by providing clear outreach materials, family-friendly explanations, and support strategies that make the process easier for eligible households. When more families complete the application, schools reduce the risk of unpaid meal debt and students gain reliable access to the meals they qualify for.

Modern School Building

School Nutrition Education for Familes

We help families understand how school nutrition programs actually work, from how meals are funded to why unpaid meal debt occurs. Our resources explain the system in clear, practical language so families can make informed decisions and feel confident navigate school meal policies. When families understand the process, schools experience fewer misunderstandings and students benefit from smoother access to real meals.
